Being busy is not an excuse , you still can be healthy.

Staying healthy while your busy and working are sometimes very hard. How about losing weight on the go it’s not easy but there are ways to do that while your working. A long time ago I was about 155kg and had such a busy schedule but my dietitian taught me how to eat while I’m on the go and helped me drop about 70 kg. Here is how :

1.Don’t stay stuck to your desk :

Every once in a while I get up from my desk and walk a little bit in the office and I try to do some stretching and lunges when I can. Here are some suggestions for what you can do in the office :

and when I get home I tried to do at least 30 minutes to 1 hour of any kind of exercise. I personally like dancing so when I come and get the party starting.

2.Watch what you eat :

Make sure that you prepare your healthy meals at home and be aware of what you’re eating. Being prepared is one step to success for a lot of times while thinking and working we tend to snack on things that never get us full and just makes us add weight without realizing it. What I do I prepare the meals in advance on my weekends and I end up cooking for most of the week. I make sure on Saturday I cook all the lunches that I will pack and do breakfast in the morning for each day. here is a meal planner idea for a day :

Breakfast and dinner : ( an option of one of the below with a cup of tea or coffee )

2 spoons of hummus or foul or sugar-free jam or peanut butter with 1 toast

A bowl of cereal and a cup of low-fat milk

1 toast and egg ( fried or boiled )

1 toast and a slice of any cheese

1 cup of yogurt

1 bowl of oatmeal with milk

Lunch :

One portion of protein ( fish or chicken or meat the size of your hand or 12 shrimps ) to be cooked whatever way you like as long as you use 1 spoon of oil

One portion of carbs ( 6 tablespoons of rice or 1 cup of pasta or 1 toast

Any type of veggies ( salad or cooked ) dressing should be 1 spoon of olive oil and garlic vinegar and lemon juice

Snacks: ( two per day )

1 small piece of chocolate as big as the tip of your finger

1 digestive cookie

3 dates

1 fruit

8 pieces of any kind of a nut

3. You got lazy don’t worry :

We all have days that we didn’t have time to prepare something or we are tired or we are on the go. That doesn’t mean you still can’t be healthy here are two easy approved options that my dietitian told me I can choose as a lunch as long as I only do it twice a week.

First option: chicken Caesar salad from McDonald’s which has 440 calories

Second option: 6-inch Subway turkey sandwich which has 280 calories

4. Drink water :

Drink a lot of it, it helps you to lose weight. As for me, I’ll be honest I hate water so I had to cheat a bit so I can drink it. I would squeeze one lemon and add artificial sugar and make it lemonade. Sometimes I would bring calorie free juices that I can add to water, or you can have 1 diet soda per day.

Always remember staying healthy is a choice. There is no such thing as diet it’s a way of life.
