Study in Malaysia!

Ola! Glad to be back from my mom-take-a-break holiday. I was in Kuala Lumpur for my long-awaited Ph.D. graduation ceremony. This month I am writing about my scary journey. But the aim is not to scare you (lol!), but to inspire those who have little intention to pursue their study. It doesn’t matter whether it is to earn a degree, a Master’s degree, or even to continue to the highest level, as I did, which is the Doctor of Philosophy or Ph.D. This post is also to give some insights about the opportunity to further study in Malaysia.

My Ph.D. journey started a long time ago when I was still a Lecturer at one university back home. I registered for it as I wanted to do it, and the university enforced the requirements that all academicians with Master’s degrees have to register for it with them. And it’s free! However, without a wholehearted intention and proper planning, I didn’t manage even to start. Furthermore, I had to follow my husband, who has been transferred to Indonesia and Brasil for years. I gave birth twice abroad without help, plus one surgery along the way. What Ph.D., again? It was a nightmare. Waking up at night to breastfeed a baby, then another baby came along after a year. I was struggling; I was truly depressed.

But the aim to do it became more and more intense when I saw more and more of my friends achieve it and became successful as a person. I pledge not to let my comfort zone stop me anymore, contacted some friends and the university to assist me from where I stopped. Then I found this university called Asia e University (AeU), where I started my journey again and finished my Ph.D. with them.

Many people out there do not know that there are hundreds of excellent universities in the market. Coming from an academic background, I have been working in universities since 2001, and compared to all universities, Asia e University or AeU is among the most reputable new university with the most flexible mode ever. I won’t compare my Ph.D. as it is strictly research. Still, for those who are interested in continuing your study, this university offers 100% online cost at an extremely reasonable fee compared to the charges in other universities all over the world. Except for the Foundation course, which students need to go to Malaysia for only a year as required by the government, then students are allowed to come back to Saudi to study online. MBA is offered 100% online, and of course, all degree programs too.

I attached my convocation photo here to inspire you. Moms who have to wake up in the middle of the night to feed their baby, wives who are always in the kitchen cooking and cleaning the house, teens who are still dreaming of a better life and career, or anyone who does not wish to continue doing what they are doing now-education is the only answer to change their fate. Believe me; I WAS THERE! I woke up at 4 am every day to feed 2 babies. I was running to and from school and buying groceries, cleaning the whole messy, greasy kitchen after cooking for 20 guests, driving 2 hours after work because of the rain and traffic, and cried in the bathroom because I wanted to do what I am doing now. If I can do it, so can you.

Come and study in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I can be contacted at drty.academy@gmail.com.

Good luck! #AeU #AsiaEUniversity #DrTy #TyAcademy

    Congratulations! 😍😍😍😍
You deserve this and more. I am so happy and proud. Your hard work and sacrifice have paid off. You are definitely an inspiration to women everywhere. Just because we stop our studies for situations in life, we should always aspire and work towards one day going back to finish our educations. There is no age limit to improving ourselves, and there are no circumstances that cannot be overcome when we have the will to do so. We should be, or more correctly, have to be resilient for the sake of families, especially our children. The better we become, the more we will have to offer our families, friends, and our community in terms of knowledge and support. Together we can continue to overcome obstacles that without proper education, societies are not equipped to address or solve.
Always remember this quote: “Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.” Pele
